If you are unable to attend the database workshops, there are other sources of help available to you, which you can use in your own time:- Library Research Guides are available for both Westlaw, JustCite and All England, EFP, Halsbury’s Laws, and UK Parliament Acts and Sis (LexisLibrary). You can download them via ELITE > My Library > Research Support > Research Guides.
Online Tutorials are also available on both Westlaw, JustCite and LexisLibrary. They are very useful guides showing how to use the databases. You can find them on the databases in the Help and Tutorials sections. ELITE > My Library > Databases > LexisLibrary, Westlaw or JustCite.
Westlaw and LexisLibrary also have Student Representatives who work on campus to support students using the databases. Andrea Hewitt is the Lexis Representative, and Patricia Elder is the Westlaw Representative. Both Andrea and Patricia will be advertising their services to students soon.
