A trainer from Westlaw will be coming into college on Wednesday 10th October to deliver sessions on how to get the most out of the database.
These sessions will benefit both novice and more experienced Westlaw database users and provide an opportunity to develop essential legal database searching skills – invaluable for the coming academic year.
You will also be given details of their certification scheme (after the session you can take an online test and if you’re successful you’ll receive a certificate).
The sessions (lasting 1 hour) will take place at 11am, 12.45pm and 2pm. If you wish to attend a session you must sign up in advance (Elite – My Centre – Events & Sign Ups). If sufficient numbers do not sign up then sessions may be cancelled. If you can’t attend you can arrange training with your Westlaw student rep djamila.dalibey66@lawcol.co.uk.
We’ve also arranged for a trainer from LexisLibrary to deliver training on Friday 9th November. In the meantime you can also contact your LexisLibrary student rep joseph.barker-willis62@lawcol.co.uk.
