We will be running library workshops throughout October to help you improve your legal research skills, both hardcopy and online. Workshops last 45 minutes, and are designed to fit in to your lunch-time break. All workshops will take place in the screened area at the back of the library. Paper Resources Made Easy: 45 mins
Do you know how to use Halsbury’s Laws, Halsbury’s Statutes and Is It In Force? Whether you’re a beginner, or you need a refresher in hard-copy resources, this workshop is for you. You will learn the essential skills of how to access and use key paper-based legal resources.

Databases: Case Law and Legislation: 45 mins
This workshop aims to show you how to find and update legislation and case law using online services including UK Parliament Acts and Sis on LexisLibrary, and Case Analysis on Westlaw.

This workshop aims to show you how to find commentary using Halsbury’s Laws and practitioner texts on the Lexis and Westlaw legal databases.
