Library Research Workshops: November

We are scheduling some library workshops at the beginning of November in preparation for your PLR assessment. We will be offering several 45-minute workshops, designed to fit in to your lunch break, as follows:

1) Paper Resources Made Easy: How to access and use key paper-based legal resources (Halsbury’s Laws, Halsbury’s Statutes and Is It In Force and Statutes Citator)

Wednesday 6th November, 6pm to 6.45pm

Friday Nov 8th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm

Thursday 14th Novemeber, 12.45pm to 1.30pm

2) Databases: Finding Case Law and Legislation: How to find and update legislation and case law using online services including UK Parliament Acts and Sis on LexisLibrary, and Case Analysis on Westlaw.

Wednesday 6th November, 12.45pm to 1.30pm

Friday 15th November, 12.45pm to 1.30pm

3) Databases: Finding Commentary: How to find commentary using Halsbury’s Laws and practitioner texts on the Lexis and Westlaw legal databases.

Thursday 7th November 12.45pm – 1.30pm

Wednesday 13th November, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
