Library Workshops: October

The library has arranged some legal research workshops to help you with your course. These are open to all ULaw Manchester students. A full list can be found on the Manchester Library Training page.

October sessions include:

Hardcopy Made Easy (focusing on key print resources such as Halsbury’s Laws)
Weds October 8th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
Thursday October 9th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
Thursday October 16th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm

Friday October 17th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
Saturday October 18th, 11.30am to 12.15pm
(preference given to part-time students)

 

Finding Cases and Legislation (online)
Friday October 10th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
Weds October 15th, 12.45pm to 1.30pm

Thursday October 23rd, 12.45pm to 1.30pm
Saturday October 18th, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
(preference given to part-time students)

 

Westlaw Workshop, with chance to obtain Certification, run by a professional Westlaw trainer
Monday October 13th, at 11am, 12.45pm and 2pm (3 sessions)

Lexis Workshop, with chance to obtain Certification, run by a professional Lexis trainer
Tuesday October 21st, at 11.30pm and 12.45pm  (2 sessions)
Weds October 22nd at 11.30pm and 12.45pm  (2 sessions)

Forthcoming workshops will include Finding Commentary and Finding Journals.

The small print…
– All sessions will run provided a minimum of 5 students have registered for the workshop. If it is not possible to run your preferred session we’ll be in touch to arrange an alternative.
