Noise in the Library

We have had some issues with noise in the library recently. The University policy states that:

“Library users should not engage in conduct to the disturbance of others.”

This includes the main library, as well as designated silent area. Students wishing to talk or discuss work should use the fourth floor or the group study area opposite the library.

If you find that noise is disturbing your study, please politely ask your fellow student to be quiet: peer intervention is the most effective form of noise management in libraries. If that fails, please speak to staff at the library desk.

Please also see our library Code of Conduct policy.
