New eBooks and old free books


Westlaw have added some additional titles to their eBook package, the details are below. There are also some old titles available for free in the Library, I have placed them on a trolley next to my desk. Feel free to help yourselves but bear in mind that many of them are old editions so you will have to update the case and other law.

When it comes to using Legal Databases, people tend to fall into either one camp or the other, but correct use of both the major legal databases can be a huge help when it comes to legal studies.

Note: The guide above is specific in some places to the IALS subscription, but a lot of the information is general information about each database.


Due to an upgrade to the Library system users will be unable to use the self-issue machines for book loans, renewals or returns from 11am on Friday 11th December until Wednesday 16th December. However, we will ensure that you will still be able to loan, return and renew books using a manual system during this period.
